Hello and welcome! In case you missed it, I am writing fun collaborative article featuring a cocktail that represents each State in the United States.

The first recipe was from my home State of  Rhode Island with a Rhode Island Red Cocktail. Today is all about my adopted State of New Hampshire.

I’ve lived here for two years now and am the first to admit that I LOVE the Granite State. We’ve visited New Hampshire for many years and I always said I wanted to move here someday.

My daughter went to College in the quaint town of Henniker and accepted a job in New Hampshire right out of College. So, what’s a Mom to do?

I moved here right with her! As I work from home, I’m lucky enough to be able to work anywhere. The first summer and fall we were here, we did a ton of exploring.

We started the New Hampshire Winery Tour and visited a different Vineyard or Meadery each weekend. The sheer beauty of this State is amazing.

Here is a picture from Zorvino’s Vineyard. We had a blast visiting this stunning location.

Along the way, we went to several apple orchards and tried a New Hampshire Sidecar, which is basically a spiked apple cider with apple brandy.

We enjoyed the cider tasting and, of course, went on a hayride.

I decided to make a version of the New Hampshire Sidecar for today’s drink. Most people think of colorful fall foliage when they think of New Hampshire, so I figured this would be perfect.

This post contains affilate links at no extra cost to you. Please see my full disclosure here.

When we went to the apple orchard, we bought local apple cider, and real maple syrup. I used those ingredients in this drink, along with apple brandy, fresh lemon juice and some apple brandy to really step this drink up a notch.

There is a printable recipe card below if you want to try this yummy drink out. This is one of those drinks that can be enjoyed all year long.

It is not just a fall drink. You can also use apple juice, if you can’t find apple cider. Hopefully, you can find real maple syrup, because it really makes this drink.

  • 1 1/2 oz. Apple Brandy
  • 1/2 oz. Sugar Maple Liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz. Apple Cider
  • 1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 – 3/4 oz. Maple Syrup

Chill your large wine glass and add a sugar and cinnamon rim if you like.Squeeze the lemon and set the juice aside. Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Use a jigger to add the apple brandy and cider.

Add maple syrup, maple liqueur, and lemon juice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled glass

Be sure to come back next week for the complete 52 Cocktail Recipes From Each State! I reached out to the blogging community to feature home state drinks. It’s been so fun writing this and I learned a lot too.
